Mark L. Hoffman

Mark L. Hoffman is John’s business partner at JTAD, managing the daily operations of the firm but also intimately involved in each of the firm’s projects. His managerial and architectural contributions to JTAD’s work are backed up by more than 20 years of professional experience in a variety of architectural project types and an expert understanding of the principles of traditional / historic architecture. Prior to joining JTAD, Mark worked at Peter Zimmerman Architects for 19 years where he focused almost exclusively on custom residential projects in the Philadelphia region and in many other states. Mark enjoys all aspects of a project’s evolution, from listening and taking design cues about the client’s lifestyle during the planning stage, to envisioning the design of the structure and site, then managing and overseeing the details during construction. He enjoys the challenges of additions and renovations that inspire creativity by making existing spaces function more efficiently, look better, and interact more cohesively together. Mark is also passionate about the importance of the big picture of a structure and its relationship to its site, including landscaping, outdoor rooms, pools, terraces, patios, garages, and the connections among the various indoor and outdoor spaces. Most of all, he appreciates the relationships that he builds with clients as he works with them to design something that will enhance their lives. Mark has Bachelor’s degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design from Philadelphia University. When he’s not working, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, son and identical twin daughters who love the beach as well as their numerous sporting events.
